Opening job schedules when purchase order dates change

You can have a job’s schedule open automatically for editing if the Scheduled date for a purchase order for the job changes by selecting an option in the Purchase Order.

Before selecting the option

The following criteria must be in place for this option to work:

  • A job must be specified on the purchase order.
  • A task must be specified on the purchase order.
  • A schedule must be entered and saved for the same job and must include the same task as specified on the purchase order.

To open a job’s schedule when its purchase order dates change:

  1. Open 6-6-1 Purchase Orders.
  2. Select the Purchase Order for which you want to activate the option.
  3. On the Options menu, click Open Job Schedule When PO Scheduled Date Changes.
  4. Click File > Save.

If a change is now made to the Scheduled box, a message offers you the option of opening and editing the corresponding schedule.
